World Council on Industrial Biotechnology

In recent years, we have been observing a number of global challenges such as financial crisis,
climate change and energy insecurity issues. We are also aware of the fact that there is
increasing social pressure on chemical and energy companies to reshape their businesses
towards environmentally friendly and sustainable ones. The World Council on Industrial
Biotechnology is established to share experts’ opinions to establish and promote the proper
policies, research and business directions on industrial biotechnology. The founding council
members are CEO’s, CTO’s and distinguished representatives of top management from
companies around the world. Also, three Global Agenda Council (GAC) members of World
Economic Forum (WEF, Geneva, Switzerland) and the Head of Chemical Industry of WEF are included.
